Q9450, OCing! Options

Well I have decided to make a small log of my overclocking experiances on the new Q9450, I will be posting my results, and ideas in this thread so stay tuned, fornow here are the specs on the system.



Q9450

ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme

Asus P5Q-e (P45 chipset)

2x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR8000 5-5-5-12 (Will be adding 2 more sticks once I finish the overclock and see how they effect stability)

Evga 9800GTX+  (Will probobly be swapping in a GTX 295 in a month or two)

PC&P 750Watt

Antec P182B

Everthing looks great butI do have a question; I recall you telling me that your temps were just a bit high. Maybe it's because your Ultra 120 is inverted? I don't know if you are able to turn it 90 degrees on the P5Q-e though? Also, if you can add another 120 fan on it? Here's mine;

I have been thinking about rotating it...

I will be playing with the fan configuration of the next few days once I get a good baseline in on it.... I dont have have another set of clips for another fan on it.

Also this case has a 120mm exhaust on the top of the case, i though it might be better to blow the CPU up... but this way its sucking videocard heat as well... so rotatin it 90* might fix that.
